If you’ve read the ingredient lists on the Lost Remedy products, you know they are heavy on essential oils. There’s a really good reason for that. Essential oils come from plants, their oils contracted by distillation (steam, steam/water or water) or expression (also known as cold pressing, a unique feature for citrus peel oils). These oils have been used for millennia to treat everything from anxiety to aches and pains to acne and more.
There are three ways to use essential oils: application, inhalation, ingestion. Obviously, because our products are applied topically, we use the application method. With rare exception, essentials are not generally used full strength. It is recommended to use a 2 percent strength, distilled into a carrier oil.
Each essential oil has unique properties that help determine in which product to use it. At the same time, carrier oils also have unique properties that help determine how to pair the essential and carrier oils. For instance, how easily can the carrier oil be absorbed? Does it have antioxidant properties? Anti-aging properties? Is it a humectant, which attracts and retains moisture? All these are taken into consideration before we even create the product.
Our CBD-infused products use essential oils and carrier oils to enhance the beneficial properties of cannabinoids. Both, when combined with CBD, jump-start the CBD receptors already present in our bodies (See Cannabinoids and You). Combining the essential and carrier oils with CBD makes each product most effective.
So, now you may ask, how beneficial is CBD? Well, let me count the ways. Here is a short list of beneficial properties of CBD when used topically or internally:
· Antibacterial
· Inhibits cancer cell growth
· Neuro-protective
· Promotes bone growth
· Reduces seizures and convulstion
· Reduces blood sugar levels
· Reduces inflammation
· Reduces risk of artery blockage
· Reduces small intestine contraction
· Reduces vomiting and nausea
· Relieves pain
· Relieves anxiety
· Slows bacterial growth
· Suppresses muscle spasms
· Tranquilizes
· Treats psoriasis
· Vasorelaxant
The best part of creating topical products with these ingredients is the absence of harmful chemicals often used to stabilize products so they basically last forever. So what is introduced through your skin nourishes your body as well as fires up the cannabinoid receptor response.
Thank you for this information. I read your blog and I am satisfied with your writing contents. Reading is one of my hobbies. I like to blogs to get such interesting posts. It has a lot of tiny information which is really helpful to understand easily.
