The importance of CBD oil

What is CBD oil?

The importance of CBD oil is its versatility. It is one of more than 60 compounds found in cannabis that belong to a class of molecules called cannabinoids. CBD, short for cannabidiol, is nonpsychoactive (or doesn’t make you high). We use CBD made from hemp seeds. The importance of CBD oil also lies in the quality. That’s why we have researched and identified pure CBD oil processed from organically grown hemp. It’s free of pesticides and herbicides. Because we use laboratory tested CBD oil for purity and strength, we can accurately measure the CBD in each product for maximum consistency.

Why we use NuLeaf Naturals CBD oil

NuLeaf uses CO2 extraction as the primary tool for mining phytonutrients from each plant. This method doesn’t require heat or solvents. Therefore, all of cannabinoids stay in the oil. The finished product is all natural, with no additives or preservatives. These products contain all the synergistic cannabinoids, terpenes, essential oils and other compounds of the original plant, to deliver the highest-grade products in their most pure and simple form. Rigorous outside lab testing is performed to ensure strength, potency and purity.

A nonprofit called Project CBD has examined a wealth of peer-reviewed scientific research and concluded that cannabis oil may be therapeutic for individuals with conditions such as pain, inflammation, anxiety, sleep disorders and many others.

Why is CBD important?

Raphael Mechoulam, PhD, professor of medicinal chemistry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, began studying the healing potential of marijuana in 1963. Because of his studies, Dr. Mechoulam identified endocannabinoid receptors in mammals. In short, he learned that the human body is particularly receptive to the healing cannabinoids present in the cannabis plant.

In the 50 years following his discovery, volumes have been written about the potential medicinal benefits of cannabis. In recent years, interest in pure CBD oil derived from hemp seeds has surged.

With THC (the psychoactive cannabinoid in marijuana) listed as a schedule 1 narcotic, attention has shifted to the benefits of CBD (nonpsychoactive). The raw oil can be taken orally as a dietary supplement or used in topical ointments and lotions to relieve inflammation and pain.

When used in a topical application, CBD oil has been seen as useful for its natural anti-inflammatory properties. But even more important, CBD oil is uniquely able to help individuals receive the maximum benefits from each healing component. Using CBD topicals with CBD oil increases the power to heal and restore the balance in your body. Using organically grown CBD oil with organic and therapeutic-grade botanicals means that our products are as close to their natural origins as possible.
